Welcome
Following the third year of a holiday letter comprised
of my (increasingly complex) life via a (increasingly complex) year-in-photographs, I
wondered what it would be like to join the great experiment of 365 days of photographs.
I'm not a photographer,
I'm a writer. I'm a visual thinker, and if ever there was proof that a photo is worth a
thousand words, it would be the story a photo tells me, or in this case, about me.
Follow me on this adventure, where I
learn about photography, my ability to record my life, my dedication to something (I've
never been known for doing anything everyday) in my posts. I've also discovered I'm
learning about time, the history of it, and the odd practice of recording it, measuring it,
turning it into something tangible, and I'll record these explorations in the sidebar.
As always, feel free
to say anything. My experiment is not a spectator sport.

September
Month nine.
I write this month, my poetry-style, rhythmic journaling that I've normally reserved to dump into my Live Journal blog. Another aspect of me, the writer me.
Also, it may be an entire month of macro pictures taken on the same setting every day:
Portrait (which puts the background more out-of-focus)
Macro (for close-up shots)
No Flash (which usually sucks for macro photography)

To beat the last-thing-before-bed photo/post combination, I'm going out of my way to shoot my life in the morning.

For anyone who can correctly identify in the comments (before anyone else for that day) the source of the quote in the title, I will make something. I don't know what yet. And I will send it to you. It might be something tasty, or it may be utilitarian. It is up to my mood at the moment.
For bonus points connect the title to the post thematically.

Mad Libs! inspired fill-in-the-blank. At the end of each day's post I'll put in a noun and use it for the next day's title. This could be interesting.

Where am I?
"What? The last post was how long ago? I thought you were supposed to be writing every day?!"
I know this is what you are thinking but it's okay, really. I tried to post via verizon, but we were out of range for the week. So instead, I kept my daily writing in my pretty red leather journal (you've seen it before, in posts February 16 and March 8). I've taken photos every day, but on four different cameras (2 cells, my camera, the photographer's camera) and I'll get these days posted in as they come together.

Where am I?

I so thoroughly enjoyed my game from July I invented a tougher challenge for August.
I plan to mimic some of my favorite photo blogs from around the web. It will require forethought, planning, and even study. The amount of composition time is comparable to actual writing whatdayaknow.
Each post will be titled the name of the original blog and its tagline. Before the break will be writing/photography similar to the original post. At the break will be a link to the original blog. After the break will be anything else I have to say about the photo or the blog.
After my post will be your comments. Yes. You will comment. Your assignment: Comment as if you were a commenter to the blog. This will probably require you to click through to the blog and read some comments. (Some blog followings are a bit on the loony side, if not just plain childish.)
If nothing else, suggest a blog I should mimic.
Play along!

hi, i dont know you but if i understood well you are talking about life thru pictures, its really good. i write about life thru text, at least im trying... then with time i will talk about my own experiencs in life....
